The ‘Finding Time’ project was created when I had a deadline after Spring break in the low-res MFA. I was looking forward to my kids being in day camps, thinking I could finally get some work done. Plans went awry and my youngest was sick at home. As a last resort, we worked together on this cathartic text piece, and it was later made into a risograph print. It has several meanings at once: an admonishment, a remark of admiration, or even a mantra of disbelief to get me through art school while teaching and parenting.
